My good friend Barbara gave me a bucket of old broken jewelry and I have had so much fun making these one of a kind necklaces. They have proved to be very popular, can't wait to make more.

Well, a trip to west Texas proved to be just as hot, sales were hot in Bowie this past weekend, and then more treasures were found as well. Thanks also to the Red Shed gals who bought many of my pieces that are featured on their blog site. You go, girls.

If you thought the barn was hot, well, a trip to East Texas yesterday with Nancy Lee was the hottest, not only the temperature, but the bargains were too. We packed the truck full, and have lots of new goodies to put in the barn. Be on the watch for pictures. Nancy bought a fabulous sideboard and some chippy doors, and I got fabulous tattered lampshades and great vintage metal frames. The barn is open today and will be on most Saturdays and Sundays, but the signs won't be posted because of city restrictions. Be sure to park in the driveways and not on the street. And, as always you can call for an appointment anytime.

The barn sale was a huge success, despite the hot weather. I am excited to announce that Nancy Lee, the original Shabby Queen has joined the Shabby Sisterhood. We are currently working on insulating and air conditioning the Bada Bing barn, so our next sale will be much more comfortable. We are adding many more new pieces to the barn, including some great sofa tables made from old fence pickets with vintage sewing machine bases. Reasonably priced, these will be a great addition to your shabby decor. Remember that you can call anytime for an appointment-817-707-8480.
